Caregiver support

You've done everything right.
But it still feels like nothing is working.

Caring for your pet is starting to stack up. You need support too.

Living with a dog who is ill or facing serious behavioural challenges can be overwhelming. The stress, worry, and constant decision-making take a toll — and yet most training plans and veterinary care focus entirely on the dog, leaving the guardian without support.

This is not training advice or medical guidance for your dog. It's space for you. We discuss the stress, isolation, second-guessing, and pressure of trying to meet your dog's needs while still caring for yourself. You don't have to filter your words or hide your feelings here.

I've cared for thousands of animals — many sick, injured, or living with significant behavioural challenges. I know what it's like to love a dog deeply while also feeling worn down by the demands of their care. And I know it's possible to keep showing up for them while protecting your own wellbeing.

In our work together, we'll explore ways to lighten the load, establish healthy boundaries, and find moments of connection and joy — even during the hardest times.

Caregiver support

Some of the situations I support

  • Caring through medical issues — Ongoing treatment, uncertainty, and sleepless nights can leave you drained and questioning if you're doing enough.
  • Behavioural struggles — Living with reactivity, aggression, or anxiety can be isolating. You may feel judged by others or worn down by the daily stress.
  • Considering rehoming — Facing the possibility of letting your dog go brings up guilt, grief, or relief — often all at once.
  • Facing difficult decisions — When euthanasia for medical or behavioural reasons becomes a possibility, having a compassionate, informed space to process that is essential.

You deserve support too.
