No. Grief can surface weeks, months, or even years later. I work with people at any stage of the grieving process — including before your pet's passing. We can work together to help with the anticipation and fear you might be feeling.
No. I also support veterinary professionals, shelter and rescue workers, animal control officers, cruelty investigators, and other first-line animal responders. The grief and stress from caring for animals can be just as real and heavy as losing your own companion.
No. I'm a counsellor, not a doctor or psychiatrist. I can't diagnose mental health conditions or prescribe medication. If you need that kind of care, I can help connect you with the right professional while we continue our work together.
Yes. I welcome neurodivergent clients and work to communicate in a way that works for you. We can discuss what you've experienced in a way that feels safe and respectful.
Absolutely. After working in a shelter housing animals from cruelty and neglect cases, I understand the need for strict confidentiality. I've navigated keeping sensitive information private for years — details you share will be no different.
No one will know. I consider all cases completely confidential. Even with my dog training clients, I don't advertise, discuss, or share details of any case.
